Six great days of races!

The return of the Pentathlon to the Plains of Abraham for this 18th edition was crowned with an unexpected success. In spite of the restrictions related to the pandemic, 4,600 athletes registered this year, happy to get back to winter sports. The Plains of Abraham were animated during two busy weekends, while during the week, it was the turn of elementary and high school students as well as newcomers to taste the pleasures of multisport.

The 2022 edition would not have been such a success without the essential contribution of the volunteers, whose work must be recognized. Our fantastic team is back every year, efficient to guide, encourage and ensure the safety of the participants.

School break week programming

The Pentathlon site has been completely refurbished after the competitions to make room for the numerous activities during the spring break.

A lot of free activities are offered on the site, here is an overview.

  • Decathlon Village – climbing wall, archery, badminton, molkky, petanque or trampoline on a jumpai
  • Toddler zone with 1-2-3 GO Limoilou – an outdoor activity and play area that offers toddlers a potential for discovery and learning
  • Giant wooden games, Trivia afternoon and Loup Garou evening with Randolph Pub Ludique
  • Precision hockey with Vidéotron
  • Introduction to the Snow Pentathlon
  • Nordic Blades trial
  • Introduction to Nordic blades
  • Introduction to winter triathlon with Triathlon Québec and the Rouge & Or Club of Laval University
  • Test of adapted equipment with Adaptavie – test of parahockey sleds, paraskis or all-terrain wheelchairs
  • Introduction to ice canoeing on snow with Canot à glace expérience and the Association des canotiers à glace du Québec
  • Introduction to Ultimate Frisbee with Ultimate Quebec representatives
  • Never without my helmet, by Avec toute ma Tête – workshops on the brain and the prevention of head injuries
  • Winter/other games – spike ball, games of skill, wooden game stations, etc.
  • Skating and hot chocolate themed evening at Maison Smith
  • Live music with Hit the Road Coverband, Pat the Songwriter and the PMG troupe
