The start<\/h2>\n

The start of the Sun Life Snow Pentathlon is a Le Mans-style bike start. Cyclists must first start the run, and then pick up their bikes a few hundred meters further on. Once they’ve collected their bike, they must run to the boarding line, where they can then mount their bike.<\/p>\n

Founded in 1845, the Quebec Snowshoe Club was Quebec City\u2019s first\u00a0snowshoe\u00a0club.\u00a0In the 1880s, when many other clubs were formed in the city, it was nicknamed the \u201cOld Black and Red\u201d after the colours worn by its members. Each club had its own colours, its own outings, often on the Plains of Abraham, and even its own song.
