Point 2: Bike course – the art of the hairpin turn

Cheer on the cyclists! You’re in the perfect spot to watch them turn around and continue on their journey.

Bike course

** Numbers of kilometers and laps are subject to change due to current snow conditions.

New this year! An all-new bike course with more action.

The route starts on Avenue George VI and takes in the upper part of Côte Gilmour and part of Avenue De Laune. Cyclists will then have the pleasure of riding up côte Gilmour, to get the cardio pumping and guarantee some heat! The number of kilometers and laps will be adjusted to suit this new loop, which will include more elevation, and will be sure to provide plenty of effort.

Fun fact

Grey Terrace is named after Sir Albert H. Grey (1851-1917). He was Governor General of Canada in 1908 when the Battlefields Park, better known as the Plains of Abraham, was created. He was an ardent promoter of the creation of a commemorative park to honor the memory of the British and French combatants of 1759 and 1760.
