To counter the gloom, take part in the Pentathlon des FÊTES, a virtual event!
From December 19, 2020 to January 4, 2021
Quebec City, December 17, 2020 - The 17th edition of the Pentathlon des neiges, the largest winter outdoor event in Canada, to take place on the Plains of Abraham in Quebec, from 23 to 28 February 2021, maintains its programming
to this day. Whether it will be a face-to-face event or a virtual event still remains to be determined! In the meantime, to counter the gloom, the Pentathlon Group takes advantage of the holiday season to invite people to play sports while
having fun, by presenting the Pentathlon des FÊTES, a virtual event!
What is the Pentathlon des FÊTES, a virtual event?
From December 19, 2020 to January 4, 2021, the Pentathlon team invites people to go outdoors and exercise, drawing inspiration from the disciplines of the Pentathlon des neiges (cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, cycling, skating
and running) or by using favourite sports… and even invented ones. Activities can be done in solo, duos, trios, etc., within the family bubble or why not, in a virtual relay team. The only rule is to play sports. It is recommended to combine
more than one sport, to respect the essence of the Pentathlon, but no rule is imposed.
More than $20,000 will be offered in prizes, including the Argon 18 Grand Prize for participation, a bike and accessories valued at $5,000! Registration is free and the event is open to everyone. No timing, no competition, just a lot of fun!
“The Pentathlon des neiges is recognized as a great festive gathering around five sports. The holiday version offers everyone an opportunity and motivation to move while having fun, alone or in a group… while respecting public health
standards, of course. Nothing easier! Participants are invited to register on the pentathlondesneiges.com website and share their stories on the Pentathlon des FÊTES Facebook group in order to win great prizes. Whether your
experience is dazzling, wacky or moving, you are all invited to share it with us! As the Pentathlon des neiges has done every year for the past 17 years, the new Pentathlon des FÊTES will bring us together and let's face it, we badly need it!“
