SKATE WITH THE ST-LAWRENCE AT YOUR FEET

For its 8th anniversary, Pentathlon des neiges is proud to invite you participate in the 4th Skate Challenge to allow everyone to take advantage of the spectacular skating oval, build especially for the event in historical Plains of Abraham, overlooking the St-Lawrence River.

 

Come to test your speed! On February 5th, 2012, come to test your speed on the oval skating ring, or make your preparation for your Pentathlon Challenge. To compete or just for the fun of it.

10 :15 AM	2 km for the kids (4 laps)** (reserved to 16 and under)
10 :30 AM	25 km*

 

*For the 7,5 km and 25 km races, long blades are required (nordics, short track or long track)

**For the 2 km race, reserved to kids from 16 and under, all types of skate and blades are authorized.

Participate in 2 different Winter Pentathlon Challenges and get a «Twin» fare

When you register for one of the traditional Pentathlon des neiges challenges, you get a «Twin» fare for your registration for the Skate Challenge for a very little fare!! This twin fare is available ONLY AND AT THE SAME TIME of your registration for another challenge of the Snow Pentathlon. To take advantage, you must choose "Yes I want to participate in the Skate Challenge» when you complete your registration for the short distance, long distance, corporate or family and friends challenges of the Snow Pentathlon. Afterwards, it will be too late!

Twin fare is available for the solos, tandems (one twin registration per tandem) and teams (one twin registration per team).

Course instructions

 

Rules Relevant clauses of the rules of Snow Pentathlon Challenges are applicable for the Skate Challenge, especially those regarding the penalties for missing laps.
