Pentathlon des neiges de la Vie Sportive

The Pentathlon des neiges of la Vie Sportive is an absolute unique event in the world. In 2008, canadian tourism Alliance recognised the Pentathlon des neiges as the best new event in Canada, more than 1800 participants between the age of 4 to 81 years old participated at the 2009 Pentathlon des neiges.

Overlooking the majestic St-Laurent river, with the first big outdoor skating loop on the Plaines of Abraham, the Pentathlon des neiges is considered to be one of the most beautifull heritage festivities of Québec 400th anniversary. A tradition is born. Be there for the 6th edition in 2010.

Since 2005, first known under the name of Pentathlon des neiges du Lac-Beauport, le Pentathlon des neiges de Québec is a reassembling event where participants complete, continuous 5 sport activities : cross country skiing, snow shoeing, ice skating, biking and running.

This recreational touristique sport product is an innovating event to promote durable health and physical activity.

The event will take place from Feburary 20-28th, 2010 on the historical Plaines of Abraham, a site with a superbe ice rink overlooking the St-Laurent river.

The Regional Association of Sport Study of Québec and Chaudière-Appalaches (ARSEQCA) recently launched a new program : « At school, i’m moving ».

« At school, i’m moving » is a project of gestion and animation of after school activities offerd to primary schools of the regions of Québec and Chaudière-Appalaches. This initiative responds to the needs of the members of L’ARSEQCA and inscribes well with the mission of the organisation who valorizes sports in education and health.

In addition to the service of gestion and animation offerd by the program, a financial support will be available to allow families in need to allow them to sing up their child/children at an after school activity. The Toyota Corporate challenge of « Vie Sportive Pentathlon des neiges » will be the main source of funds. All funds put towards « At school, i’m moving » will exclusively go to help famillies in need.

Subscribe one or many teams to contribute directly to the succes of the program all while obtaining a great visibility.

The Toyota Coporate challenge is formulated in team-relays of 5 participants, where each of the 5 participants, one at the time (relay) must complete 1 of the 5 stages. Each stage lasts for approximatly 15-30 minutes… so accessible to everyone!

For the competition…. Or simply to have fun. 

Weather its for competition or simply to have fun, all motivations are a good reason to participate at the Toyota Corporate challenge. 2 trophys are at stake :

All along the race, the animatoer will assure to signale your participation to the numerous spectators and present medias.

o The participation to the race including the souvenir number, the framing and the feed stations;
o A souvenir of your participation to the Pentathlon des neiges for each team member;
o A cocktail/meeting after the race at the Loews le Concorde for each participant;

A amout of 10$ per team will be collected at the inscription to cover
the sanction expenses of Triathlon Québec.

 

A tournament named after your organistion :

For all organisations who inscribes 5 teams and more, The Pentathlon des neiges….

• Will create a tournament reserved to the teams of your organisation;
• Give a souvenir plate to the winning team of your tournament;
• The plate will be given by a representative of the organisation of the Pentathlon des neiges during a ceremony that will take place in the bureau of Triathlon Québec.
